About:
The Andover Gallery Frame Shop has been serving the greater Andover community since 1968. The business was originally started by Katherine and Howard Yezerski as an art gallery-frame shop and functioned that way for 20 years before the gallery part of our business moved to Boston in 1988 and became known as the Howard Yezerski Gallery, one of the leading contemporary galleries in Boston.

Because of the Andover Gallery's early involvement with artists and fine art, using archival techniques and materials became standard early on, and are still utilized.

In August 2017, Katherine retired and decided to pass the helm to framers Jeff Engel and Jonathan Lassen. Jeff Engel's art and design background, and Jonathan's production and solution skills ensured the Andover Gallery would continue and it still does.

We have a huge selection of mat and frame samples to choose from and we continue to make unique and budget conscious design selections to suit any need, whether it be personal memorabilia, art, decoration or commercial needs.
The original staff (pre-2018):

Katherine Yezerski

Katherine helped customers come up with creative solutions to their framing needs for more years than she cares to admit, but rest assured it was long enough for her to develop a very keen eye and an immense repertoire of ideas. The Andover Gallery, under different management, intends to continue this effort and match the high bar she created.

Sandra Burns

Sandra was the resident mat cutter. She was a patient master having dealt with the usual quirks and annoyances that come with computerized mat cutters. She applied her boundless patience when doing the painstaking work required with textiles. Since 2018, the Andover Gallery has continued to work on texiles with great success.

Terri D'Ambrosio

Terri was the installer who put the frame and artwork together with glazing materials and appropriate hardware. She put the finishing touches on the framing job before it was ready to be picked up. This job requires lots of skill and a high tolerance threshold for frustration, and we continue to keep an exacting attention to detail that would make her proud.

Penny

Penny was the Andover Gallery's part-time greeter. She no longer hangs out at the store, but since 2020, there's a rabbit that definitely wants to check out the shop whenever the front barn doors are opened!
